Alexander Skarsgård Raises Eyebrows in ‘Lick My Worm’ T-Shirt at ‘Wicker’ Screening

Alexander Skarsgård, 50, turned a New York screening into a billboard for his own film’s dialogue Tuesday night.

The “True Blood” alum arrived at AMC Lincoln Square 13 for a special “Wicker” showing wearing a white T-shirt that read “Lick My Worm” — a line delivered by Olivia Colman in the movie itself. Artist Flora Miles had custom-made the cheeky tee, and Skarsgård deliberately flashed it from beneath his suit jacket.

“Make sure they see the worm,” he quipped in video from the event while posing with castmates.

The phrase belongs to Colman’s character, the Fisherwoman, a village outcast who orders herself a husband woven from wicker in the film’s fantastical plot. Colman, 51, was present at the screening, as were directors Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer.

Stellan Skarsgård, 73, also came out to support his son. Stylist Harry Lambert, who is currently dressing Harry Styles for his 30-night Madison Square Garden residency, put together the look.

The worm shirt caps a deliberately unpredictable promotional run. Skarsgård has given interviews in a vintage “I’m With Stupid” tee and a JW Anderson sweater covered in knitted flowers, leaves and moss. At the London premiere last week, he went shirtless under a gold Saint Laurent suit with see-through shoes from the brand.

Daring footwear is familiar territory for the Swedish actor. He wore Saint Laurent thigh-high boots at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and embraced leather, short shorts and sequins during his “Pillion” press tour earlier this year.

His co-stars have embraced the on-screen looks with equal enthusiasm. “He’s easy on the eye anyway, but he put him in a basket outfit and… who knew?” Colman said at Sundance.

“Even maybe a little bit sexier,” Elizabeth Debicki, 34, chimed in during the same exchange.

“He is a hot basket,” Colman replied.

The AMC Lincoln Square event marked a family affair and a fashion statement rolled into one, with the elder Skarsgård watching his son weaponize a co-star’s own dialogue against the backdrop of a major studio promotional circuit.

“Wicker” opens in select theaters Oct. 23 before expanding nationwide Oct. 30.
