Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke confessed during part 2 of the Summer House reunion that there was zero intimacy during their entire four-year marriage.
The “Summer House” stars revealed in a joint statement posted to their Instagram stories on Monday, Jan. 19, that they have decided to separate after more than four years of marriage, with Cooke, 43, and Batula, 34, having gotten engaged in 2018 and married in 2021.
Cooke, 43, said they had a “very unhappy marriage” and there were “no needs being met,” which prompted host Andy Cohen to ask a follow-up question, and Batula, 34, said “four,” and Cooke added, “the entire time,” confirming they did not have sex during their four-year marriage.

The couple’s marital struggles became a central storyline on the reunion.
“We split the day we put the statement out,” Cooke said. “The only conversation we had about, like, ‘Are we officially ending things?’ was when we wrote the statement.”
He claimed he “didn’t have a chance to tell my family” about the separation, because Batula insisted on posting the statement as quickly as possible.
Amanda offered her own account of the breakdown.
“I made up my mind about our separation on New Year’s Day,” Batula said. “The nail in the coffin was New Year’s Day for me… Kyle and I were bickering, whatever, I didn’t go to New Year’s with him. I spent it by myself, he spent it DJing at a restaurant, whatever. I woke up the next morning, I saw that he was at a hotel in Hoboken, [New Jersey].”

The pair also addressed Kyle’s behavior during their marriage.
As the exes kept bickering, Batula claimed Cooke “stepped out of marriage,” but Cooke insisted he never had an affair or slept with anyone.
The DJ did, however, admit he got inappropriate with another woman because he was “completely starved”
of physical intimacy.
Recent reunion revelations also touched on Kyle’s post-split dating life.
Amanda even recalled how, during May’s In The City premiere party, Kyle told her that “he has sober sex” now.
“I know a little something about Kyle right now, and all I’m gonna say, without saying too much, is I hear that he is a f-cking killer in bed. I hear he f-cking knows what he is doing,” Lala revealed on the June 1 episode of Untraditionally Lala.
She added, “He ain’t my type, but I might take it for a spin if he let me.”
Kyle responded to the comments at an In the City reunion appearance.
During the reunion, Kyle gave Amanda a measure of respect despite their fractured relationship.
Even amid their uncomfortable exchanges at the reunion, Kyle gave Amanda credit for taking the criticism “on the chin” and reminded her that he and the others do “care about” her. That prompted Kenny to declare that Kyle had been “very dignified” throughout the whole situation, and even Amanda agreed. “Kyle’s been the best,” she said.
Kyle immediately agreed that he and West are very different people, before pointing out to his estranged wife, “It’s not the first time he’s said the right thing to somebody to kind of wrap them around his finger.”
The romance between Amanda and West sparked outrage among castmates.

Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it. We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.”
