Amanda Bynes recently announced her new venture into the world of OnlyFans but clarified that there’s one type of content her followers should not expect to see.
The actress, who left the Hollywood scene at just 24 years old, experienced a turbulent period thereafter. Known for her roles in 1990s and early 2000s children’s television, Bynes was a household name for her performances in shows like All That, Figure It Out, and Blue’s Clues.
In 2010, Bynes chose to step away from her acting career after starring in well-loved teen movies such as What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, and Hairspray. She also starred in her own series, The Amanda Show, from 1999 to 2002. Her later years were marked by challenges related to mental health and legal issues.
In 2013, Bynes was placed under a conservatorship, an arrangement that ended with her mother’s oversight in March 2022.
Recently, on Tuesday (April 15), Bynes announced her decision to join OnlyFans. However, she quickly specified that her content would not include anything “sleazy”.
OnlyFans is widely known for its adult content, but Bynes has made it clear that her engagement there will focus on interacting with fans through direct messages. “I’m doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through DMs. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join,” she shared on Instagram.
Those interested in subscribing to her OnlyFans will need to pay a monthly fee of $50.
Bynes has had a challenging few years, but with the end of her conservatorship, she seems hopeful about the future.
During the court ruling, Judge Roger L. Lund stated, “The Capacity Declaration filed 02/22/22 concludes that conservatee has capacity [to] give informed consent to any form of medical treatment.”
“The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist.”
“The court intends to grant the petition for termination and order the conservatorship of the person of Amanda Bynes be terminated.”
Following this decision, Bynes expressed gratitude towards her supporters: “Following today’s decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time,” she conveyed to People.
Bynes also acknowledged her legal team and family for their support over the past nine years.
Looking ahead, Bynes hinted at new projects, stating, “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.”
“I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
