There is a new frontrunner for Netflix’s most viewed movie. For some time, the 2021 film “Red Notice” held the top position. With a star-studded cast including Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson, this movie amassed 230.9 million views on Netflix, according to Variety.
At the time of its release, “Red Notice” attracted attention due to reports of behind-the-scenes issues involving Dwayne Johnson, who allegedly arrived late to the set on several occasions. This reportedly led to a confrontation with Ryan Reynolds, resulting in a significant argument.
Despite the reported drama, the film attracted a large audience and still maintains an impressive 92 percent Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. It was reportedly produced with a budget of around $200 million, which paid off when it became Netflix’s most streamed movie ever—until recently.
The new titleholder is the uplifting and engaging film “KPop Demon Hunters.”
