Amber Heard Expecting Her Second Child

Amber Heard is expecting her second child, marking another milestone since her well-publicized breakup with Johnny Depp in 2016.

Since parting ways with Depp, Heard has become a mother, welcoming her first child, Oonagh, in April 2021.

She announced Oonagh’s birth on Instagram, where she revealed her decision to become a mother on her own terms.

In a post featuring a picture of herself with Oonagh, Heard expressed, “I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms.

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.”

Now 38, Heard has been sharing glimpses into her life with her daughter, often describing herself as both ‘the mom and the dad’ and a ‘multitasking mama’ in social media posts.

For Oonagh’s first birthday, Heard celebrated with an Instagram post, stating, “My little O is a year old today. I still can’t believe you’re here. The greatest year.”

With Oonagh now aged three, Heard has opted to expand her family once more.

A spokesperson for the Aquaman actress confirmed her second pregnancy in a statement to People, noting, “It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage. Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.”

During her 2022 trial with Depp, Heard expressed her desire to ‘move on’ and concentrate more on her parenting responsibilities.

“I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too,” she stated to the jurors.
