Amber Heard has reportedly adopted a new alias and seems to have bid farewell to the United States permanently.
At 37, Heard has been in the spotlight for her roles in major movies like Aquaman and Zombieland.
Unfortunately, her personal life dramas have lately eclipsed her professional achievements.
Her legal battle in 2022 with ex-husband Johnny Depp, where she faced a defamation trial, made waves across the media.
Post-verdict, which favored Depp, it looks like Heard is turning a new leaf in her life.
According to a source quoted by People magazine, Heard is now prioritizing her life around her daughter, Oonagh Paige.
Reports suggest she’s relocated to Europe, finding solace in its anonymity to embrace motherhood fully.
The insider shared: “She spends every day with her girl. They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time.
“Amber is a great mom.”
People magazine further adds that Heard is ‘working and filming again’ and is experiencing a ‘new energy’.
Heard expressed to Deadline her enthusiasm for both indie films and big-budget productions.
“The best luck you can have as an actor is to be able to balance both,” she remarked.
Spotted in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, as reported by Diario De Mallorca (via Pink Villa), Heard has been impressing locals with her fluent Spanish.
During an encounter outside a property, a journalist inquired about her new life.
“I love Spain so much,” Heard replied.
When probed if she plans to stay, she expressed her fondness for the lifestyle there.
Amidst these developments, Heard appeared in the sequel of Aquaman, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which got mixed reviews and noted her reduced screen presence.
During the trial with Depp, Heard claimed her role was minimized due to the legal strife.
“I fought really hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to include me in the film,” she testified.
Contradicting this, DC’s Head of Film, Walter Hamada, stated during the trial that her decreased screen time was pre-decided during early script stages, mentioning a lack of chemistry with co-star Jason Momoa in the first film.
Post-trial, rumors flew about Heard changing her name.
Under the radar, she’s said to be using an alias for travel, avoiding public attention.
Esquire noted that after moving to Mallorca, Spain, she settled in Madrid and adopted the name Martha Jane Cannary, drawing inspiration from the legendary frontierswoman, Calamity Jane.
