Amber Heard’s New Life: Career Shift, Name Change, and Relocation to Spain

Amber Heard has embarked on a new professional path, and her supporters are embracing the change.

Heard was once married to Johnny Depp, known for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, but their relationship ended in a contentious divorce involving lawsuits that were played out in court.

Following these events, Heard moved to Spain and is now a mother of three. Her first child, Oonagh, was born in April 2021.

The Aquaman star has since expanded her family with twins Agnes and Ocean, who were born earlier this year.

The exact birth date of the twins is not specified, but Heard shared the news of her son and daughter’s arrival in May on Mother’s Day via Instagram.

As of December 2024, Heard’s IMDb page showed no upcoming film projects for the 39-year-old actress, and this remains true several months later.

Amber Heard has since made a return to acting, but this time she is taking on the stage.

Recently, Heard starred as Genevieve in Jeremy O. Harris’ new play, Spirit of the People, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, US.

The play was on at the festival from July 17 until August 3. This role marked Heard’s professional stage debut.

According to PEOPLE, Spirit of the People is described as a ‘haunting bilingual epic where Zapotec warriors, expats, mezcaleros, and sex tourists collide in Oaxaca, where the world could be ending as the waves continue to pound on the shore.’

Half of the play is performed in Spanish, a language in which Heard is fluent.

Five weeks prior, Heard hinted at working on a new project. She posted a selfie with Harris on Instagram, stating she was ‘in [her] theatre era.’

As the show neared its final performances at the festival, Heard expressed her sentiments on social media: “Lucky to be stealing one final breath before this weekend’s final performances. Last chance to see Spirit of the People at @wtfestival!”

In her last post about the play, Heard appeared to be surrounded by flowers.

“Thank you to all of my fans and supporters for making this already unforgettable weekend so much more beautiful,” she shared alongside a photo of herself with several bouquets.

“The flowers won’t last forever but the memories of all the love and support I received through this, will.”

Heard has received additional messages of encouragement. One supporter commented: “You deserve all of that and more, Queen. You are a great actress and a great human being ever seen on earth. May the universe continue showering you with more success, love and abundance. You deserve it! Love you Amber!”

Another added: “We love and support you. Keep your head up high.”

Someone else commented: “Love this so much! Congrats!”
