An actor from the American Pie series has had his monthly earnings disclosed as part of an ongoing legal dispute with his former spouse.
Seann William Scott is widely recognized for his iconic portrayal of Steve Stifler in American Pie, along with roles in Road Trip, Final Destination, and as the voice of Crash in the Ice Age franchise.
Scott’s considerable income from his various career endeavors has come to light during the divorce proceedings between him and his ex-wife, Olivia Korenberg.
Although their marriage lasted four years and they have a daughter together, the pair have since parted ways.
According to court documents obtained by US Weekly, the 48-year-old actor reportedly earns the equivalent of two yearly salaries each month.
His income is derived from various sources including residuals, interest payments, and dividends, all contributing to a substantial financial status.
The documents show he receives $45,000 in royalties and an additional $31,000 from dividends and interest payments.
Moreover, Scott’s earnings are estimated to be about $110,000, with additional assets including $158,000 in savings and $12,285,322 in stocks.
Amazingly, this isn’t the full extent of his wealth, as Scott also possesses real estate valued at $18,781,328. His assets further include a Mini Cooper worth approximately $30,000, a Honda Passport valued at $55,000, furniture worth about $171,000, artwork valued at $93,000, and several hundred dollars in jewelry.
The court documents reveal that Scott has incurred $500,000 in legal costs during the divorce proceedings, following Korenberg’s allegations that he attempted to ‘evict’ her from one of his properties.
Although Korenberg’s plea for sole custody of their daughter Frankie Rose Scott was denied, the ex-couple is now engaged in a dispute over legal fees.
UNILAD has reached out to Scott’s representatives for comment.
Despite the legal challenges, Scott’s substantial financial resources likely provide some consolation. This highlights how modest his $8,000 earnings for his breakout Stifler role in 1999 now seem.
Reflecting on the surprisingly low sum during a segment of ‘Celebrity True or False’ on The Rich Eisen Show, Scott recalled: “I think [that’s right], yeah because I remember afterwards I bought a used Thunderbird, for like $5,000 (ÂŁ3,800), maybe $6,000 (ÂŁ4,600).”
“I don’t know what happened to the other two grand,” he mentioned, adding that he even had to work as a ‘churro guy’ in a Los Angeles zoo to make ends meet.
