Nearly three decades after Amy Bradley’s mysterious disappearance from a cruise ship, the case continues to attract global attention. Her brother has now shared the last words he spoke to her.
In March 1998, Amy, then 23, was on a family vacation with her parents and brother when she disappeared from their balcony on Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas. This occurred in the early morning hours as the vessel neared Curaçao, an island in the Caribbean.
Amy, originally from Petersburg, Virginia, was last observed asleep in a chair around 5:30 am. However, just half an hour later, as the ship was docking, she was missing.
Her brother Brad recently recounted their final day together, which included a visit to Aruba, another Caribbean island approximately 70 miles from Curaçao.
They rented a convertible SUV to explore Aruba’s scenic beauty before returning to their cruise ship for a formal dinner with their parents, Ron and Iva, followed by a party on the pool deck.
The siblings later visited the rooftop club with other guests and eventually returned to their cabin at 3:30 am.
“I don’t remember looking at a clock, but at 4[am], maybe 4.10[am], I went to bed,” Brad shared with People.
He added that he told Amy, “I love you,” words he is grateful to have expressed as they were the last he ever spoke to her.
Since the release of Netflix’s true crime documentary series, *Amy Bradley is Missing*, director Ari Mark has reported receiving numerous tips regarding Amy’s potential whereabouts. Amy would be 51 years old today.
In an interview with CBS Mornings, Mark stated, “There have been tips actually coming in that I can’t publicly share.”
“With exposure on a platform like Netflix, which has an incredible reach, many people are motivated to help, and we’ve mobilized them,” he explained.
“That was our goal, but we must carefully vet these tips and ensure law enforcement is involved. It’s a thorough process, but hopefully, something will come to light.”
The FBI has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to Amy’s recovery.
