Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have obtained a marriage license in Arkansas.
The former “GMA3” co-anchors, Robach, 53, and Holmes, 49, filed the paperwork Sept. 18 in Washington County, according to records. The move comes just weeks after the couple revealed they had settled on a wedding date.

Robach and Holmes announced their engagement last October on their “Amy & T.J.” podcast, though they had already been wearing rings for months without anyone noticing. “We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged, and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now,” Robach said on the podcast at the time.
Holmes added that they wanted their listeners to hear the news first. “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship,” he said.

Robach had actually been sporting her ring in massive crowds for weeks. “I was in three massive football stadiums three weekends in a row wearing my engagement ring very proudly, very excitedly and kept waiting for somebody to point it out or ask me, ‘Hey, what’s that?'” she recalled on the podcast. “And it never happened.”

Holmes noted that his fiancée had been flashing the jewelry in “crowds of tens of thousands” of people, yet “nobody said a word.”

The engagement had been telegraphed even earlier. In March 2025, Robach was photographed wearing a ring on that finger while posing with Holmes on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Then in May, Holmes stoked speculation by referring to Robach as his “spouse” during an episode of their “I Do, Part 2” podcast.

“If you got love right the first time around, this ain’t the show for you. I’m T.J. Holmes, alongside my friend, my partner, my podcast co-host, Amy Robach,” Holmes said during the introduction. He then paused, admitting the wording felt “so impersonal,” which prompted Robach to agree that he sounded “very clinical.”

Holmes corrected himself: “With my person, my partner, my spouse. What’s the right way to put it?”

By November 2025, the couple made their first post-engagement appearance together in New York City, with Robach showing off the large gold gem on her left hand. More recently, in May, they confirmed on “Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast” that they had locked in a wedding date.

When Giuliana Rancic pressed them on timing, Holmes replied, “We do,” surprising Robach. “Are you OK with that date? I had a date that I really wanted. You’re just telling me now on the podcast that you’re OK with that date?” the NBC News alum asked.

Holmes explained that the presence of Giuliana and her husband, Bill Rancic, had put him at ease. “Being here with them made me more comfortable,” he said. The pair declined to share the exact date publicly.

The workplace romance between Robach and Holmes exploded into public view in November 2022, when DailyMail.com published photos of the two looking intimate during outings in New York. At the time, both were married to other people — Robach to actor Andrew Shue and Holmes to attorney Marilee Fiebig. The revelation triggered a swift response from ABC, which removed the pair from “GMA3” in December 2022 before officially cutting ties in January 2023. A network spokesperson said then that it was “best for everyone” that the co-hosts-turned-lovers “move on” from the network. Robach and Holmes have since built a joint podcasting career and weathered the fallout together, while Shue and Fiebig have notably begun dating each other.

Robach and Holmes are expected to exchange vows in the coming months.
