Amy Schumer has conveyed an emotional message as we look forward to 2026.
The comedian has undergone significant changes in recent times, dealing with her Cushing Syndrome diagnosis and her separation from husband Chris Fischer.
In December, the pair announced their decision to part ways. Schumer wrote on social media in a now-deleted post: “Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.
“We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
Recently, the Trainwreck actress took to Instagram to share a series of images showcasing her 50-pound weight loss.

“My mom took these photos of me while I was packing for a trip,” she commented on the pictures. “And the last photo I’m on the trip.”
Discussing her aspirations for 2026, Schumer stated: “This year is about self care and self love. No makeup. No filter. @eres and @therow let’s all appreciate our health our families our friends and have the best year of our lives. Moving forward with no regrets. Just love.”
This message follows the 44-year-old’s explanation of her motivation for losing weight, emphasizing that it wasn’t solely to ‘look hot’.
“I never wear jewelry. I didn’t get Botox or filler. I didn’t lose 30 pounds, I lost 50,” Schumer expressed on Instagram (via The Independent) in a post that seems to have been deleted.
“Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive.”

She further explained: “I have a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you. But the internet caught it, and that disease has cleared.”
The Mayo Clinic explains that Cushing syndrome ‘occurs when the body has too much of the hormone cortisol for a prolonged period’.
The site continues: “This can result from the body making too much cortisol, or from taking medicines called glucocorticoids, which affect the body the same way as cortisol.”
Typical symptoms of the condition include ‘moon face’, weight gain in the trunk of the body, thin skin that bruises easily, and a fatty lump between the shoulders.
Addressing her change in appearance, Schumer noted that she has undergone plastic surgery over the years and used Mounjaro for weight loss.
“Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight,” she added. “Sorry to anyone that lets down.”
