Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh legally files to drop dad’s last name

Amidst their tumultuous divorce saga, it seems another of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kids is pulling away from their celebrity father.

The ex-power couple has been embroiled in a fierce legal tussle since their split in 2016, with the latest drama unfolding over the sale of a French winery they once bought together.

Recent court documents filed in April at the Los Angeles Superior Court reveal shocking accusations against Pitt, all of which he has strongly refuted.

Meanwhile, as this legal drama simmers in the background, Pitt appears to be losing touch with some of his children, whom he co-parents with Jolie.

Just this week, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt rang in her 18th birthday and decided to drop ‘Pitt’ from her name, reports TMZ.

While the name change isn’t legally official yet, the 18-year-old hopes to soon be recognized as ‘Shiloh Jolie’.

This news surfaces shortly after another of the former duo’s children made a similar gesture.

Vivienne, who is 15, worked alongside her mom on the new musical, The Outsiders. According to PEOPLE, she was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill, not Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.

It’s still unclear if Vivienne has pursued a legal name change.

Interestingly, Shiloh and Vivienne aren’t the first Jolie-Pitt offspring to opt for a name alteration.

Last November, their eldest daughter Zahara introduced herself as ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’ in a video Essence shared.

Amid these personal changes, Jolie has leveled serious accusations against Pitt, claiming his ‘unrelenting efforts to control’ and attempts to ‘bleed her dry’ financially.

“Angie claims Brad is draining her finances – but it seems she’s equally keen on draining his,” a source close to the situation remarked.

“Contrary to her claims of him trying to ruin her, it appears Brad has gone out of his way to support Angie financially, despite her actions seeming rather spiteful.”

The Daily Mail has also noted that Jolie’s relationship with Pitt has reportedly brought her nearly $100 million through loans, child support, and gifts.

Despite the ongoing divorce battle, the end doesn’t seem to be anywhere in sight just yet.
