Apple CEO Tim Cook announces introduction of a new device this month

Apple’s CEO has announced that the company is gearing up to introduce another device soon.

Typically, Apple reserves its major announcements for spring, but this time, it appears to be arriving earlier.

Understandably, people are drawn to the latest innovations, so when a new product hits the market, it’s hard to resist.

Now, a significant unveiling is on the way.

Tim Cook has indicated that the ‘newest member’ of Apple’s lineup will make its debut on Wednesday, February 19.

On Twitter, he shared a video featuring a holographic Apple logo, accompanied by the message: “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family. Wednesday, February 19. #AppleLaunch.”

Though he didn’t specify the product, speculation is rife, with many anticipating an updated version of the iPhone SE series.

This speculation originates from Mark Gurman, who posited that the iPhone SE 4 might be on the horizon, and he presents a compelling case for it.

In his Bloomberg article, he speculates: “[iPhone SE 4] will modernize its lower-cost model in a bid to spur growth and entice consumers to switch from other brands.”

Gurman claims his insight comes from anonymous sources, as Apple’s release plans are ‘private’.

He suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will resemble the iPhone 14 but with some modifications.

Gurman noted: “The removal of the home button from the iPhone SE means that Apple will have fully phased out the iconic interface, which debuted on the first iPhone in 2007.”

Gurman recently pointed out that Cook’s message might include a hint, suggesting the animation ‘appears to show the shape of a home button disappearing’.

He also anticipates that additional products will be launched in 2025, such as a MacBook featuring an M4 chip, updated low-end iPad Air models, and new Apple Watches and iPhones.

Twitter users have been eagerly commenting under Cook’s announcement, seeking hints, with one person asking: “Can you give us a hint?”

“I’m so excited to see what it is!” another commented, while a third added: “Exciting! Could it be the Apple Vision?”

We’ll find out more on February 19.
