Apple discreetly introduces new device on website, but there’s more than meets the eye

Apple has introduced a new product to its website, but there’s a significant issue for potential buyers.

When searching for the latest MacBook, iPhone, or iPad, the Apple Store typically has everything you might need.

However, fans have noticed an unusual addition to the site that, surprisingly, isn’t available for purchase.

Meet the Lumon Terminal Pro, included as part of a promotional campaign for the Apple TV+ series, Severance.

Severance made its comeback earlier this year, once again intriguing audiences with its intriguing, surreal narrative.

Featuring actors like Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, John Turturro, Tramell Tillman, and Dichen Lachman, Severance boasts an impressive 96 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and viewer endorsements calling it ‘the best TV show [they] have ever watched’.

The series focuses on office workers who undergo a severance procedure to separate their work and personal memories.

This process means they have no recollection of work when they’re off duty and no memory of their personal lives while on the job.

In Severance, Lumon Industries employees use Lumon Terminal Pro computers, explaining the product’s appearance on Apple’s website.

Social media users found the promotional tactic quite impressive, with one individual tweeting: “Love the retro-futuristic vibes of the Lumon Terminal Pro! Would totally buy merch if it becomes available.”

Another user said: “This is great! Apple now has the Lumon Terminal Pro listed on Apple’s website.”

A third added: “I think if they actually sold it, a fair amount of people would actually buy it.”

While a fourth remarked: “I would click buy so fast.”

Another user commented: “Pretty funny that @Apple has added the Lumon Terminal Pro to its Mac lineup – a nod to the retro-styled computers from Severance. While it’s a fun Easter egg for fans, unfortunately you can’t actually buy this vintage-inspired machine.”

Some users even urged the company to make it available ‘for real’.

Clicking on the Lumon Terminal Pro leads to a message that reads: “Greetings. We are pleased to bring you a film detailing the art of arranging moving images to elicit an emotional response.

“If during this viewing, you experience feelings of warmth, an increased heart rate or perspiration, do not be alarmed.

“In fact, rejoice! As you have been successfully inspire. Praise Kier.”

There’s also an option to watch ‘how the Apple Original series Severance was edited on Mac’.
