Achieving fame at a young age can be challenging, yet Ariana Grande is determined not to let remarks about her appearance affect her.
In an emotional moment, Ariana Grande shared how she copes with comments regarding her body.
The singer has faced criticism since her teenage years and discussed how she manages it today.
While promoting the movie Wicked, Grande talked about her resilience in the face of ongoing scrutiny and feedback.
She also advised others to adopt her mindset.
In a conversation with French journalist Sally, Grande addressed the pressure to maintain a flawless image: “I have been doing this in front of the public… I have been a specimen in a petri dish since I was 16 or 17 so I have heard it all.
“I have heard every version of it, I have heard what is wrong with me and then you fix it and it is wrong for different reasons but that is everything from….even the simplest thing with your appearance.
“You are young and you are hearing all sorts of things, it is hard to protect yourself from that noise.
“I think it is something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you are experiencing it on.”

Grande mentioned how people have gotten too at ease with discussing others’ bodies, and she emphasized that this shouldn’t be normalized, regardless of one’s fame.
She elaborated: “Even if you go to thanksgiving dinner and someones granny says ‘oh my God you look skinnier what happened’ or ‘you look heavier what happened’.
“That is something that is uncomfortable and horrible no matter where it is happening, no matter the scale that it is happening on.
“I think today in society there is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all commenting on others looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes, or health or how they present themselves.
“From what you are wearing, to your body to your face face to your everything.
“There is a comfortability that people have commenting on that that is really dangerous, I think it is dangerous for all parties involved.
“I think I am really lucky to have the support system that I have and to know and trust that I am beautiful and so are you and so are you.”
Grande concluded her thoughts by humorously noting she needed to express her feelings, emphasizing that such comments are no longer welcome.
She reaffirmed her commitment to her work and life, refusing to let critics divert her path.
