These delicious-looking, mouth-watering food items are definitely a treat, minus the calories.
This pint-sized plate of guacamole and chips is the seed of Shay Aaron’s brilliant mind.
A stage and costume designer, Aaron has dedicated over 10 years of his life making tiny creations of the gastronomical kind.
“Ten years ago I made a miniature replica of the Jewish Passover Seder plate,” Aaron said.
“Once I made the realistic platter I knew that I want to put my effort in miniature food,” he explained.
The 24-year-old artist says he has always been creative.
“There are so many things which inspire me!”
“I collect food magazines and flyers, and have towers of cooking and baking books. I get inspiration from Jamie Oliver to my mom’s kitchen,” he continued.
He added: “I usually make dollhouse items, but sometimes I feel like this tiny sandwich should dangle on someone’s ears.”
Like many type A artists, Aaron’s creative process starts from an inspiration board.
He said: “I explore the web in order to find multiple images of the food piece I’m about to create. I look for images that show the texture, color and the way it is served. Then I do some texture tests that are supposed to lead me to the finest result.”
The best part about his creations? They’re wearable!
