Ashton Kutcher discusses persistent rumor about him and Mila Kunis ‘not showering’

Ashton Kutcher recently addressed the longstanding rumors about his and Mila Kunis’s unconventional showering habits.

Back in July 2021, Mila Kunis sparked a conversation about her personal hygiene during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.

“I don’t wash my body with soap every day. But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles,” she shared.

Ashton Kutcher contributed to the discussion on the podcast, saying: “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that just delivers every time. Nothing else.”

The couple also mentioned that they don’t bathe their children daily, igniting a significant debate online and across various social media platforms.

This conversation even caught the attention of celebrities like Dwayne Johnson and Cardi B, turning into an ongoing debate about bathing practices.

Now, more than four years later, Kutcher has acknowledged that the situation became exaggerated.

In an interview with People alongside Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope, Kutcher, who is 47, remarked: “It was the craziest thing of all time. We made a comment at one point, and people were like, ‘Does he stink? Does he smell?'”

The actor then explained the situation to his Beauty co-stars.

He clarified: “There was a comment on a podcast, so long ago … and people are like, ‘They don’t shower.’ I’m like, ‘I shower, I go to the gym, I shower.'”

Supporting Kutcher’s statements, Ramos assured that the actor does indeed shower, which is certainly reassuring.

Previously, Kunis revealed to E! News that in their home, the bathroom door is always open, a practice that helps normalize ‘bodily functions’ as a family.

Kunis elaborated: “We have no closed doors in our house and that includes the bathroom.

“It’s just one of those where, for better or for worse, as a family and the kids have all kind of embodied bodily function as a very standard norm.”

She added: “I’d never thought that I would be the person that was able to go to the bathroom with the door open.”

Even when the bathroom door was closed, it didn’t make much difference as her family would frequently knock ‘every two seconds’.
