Ashton Kutcher acknowledged his ex-wife, Demi Moore, while discussing his latest television project.
The 47-year-old actor sat down with Entertainment Tonight, alongside co-stars Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope, to talk about their science fiction, body horror series, The Beauty.
In this drama, Kutcher plays a biotech billionaire behind a new sexually-transmitted drug called the Beauty, which enhances physical attractiveness, yet comes with severe side effects such as death, violence, and chaos.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Matt Hodgson, the show is set to debut on FX and Hulu via Disney+ on January 21.
During the interview, the show was commended for being a ‘wild ride’ and for its similarities to the upcoming 2024 film The Substance, featuring Moore.

In Moore’s acclaimed body horror movie, she uses an illicit drug called ‘the substance’ that lets her transform into a younger, more attractive version of herself for part of the time.
Moore earned significant acclaim for her role, winning awards at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
When the similarities were mentioned during the interview with Kutcher and his co-stars, he expressed admiration for Moore’s performance.
He remarked: “I mean, one, Demi’s performance in The Substance, obviously, she got extraordinary accolades, I’m so proud of her, she killed it.”
Kutcher and Moore began their relationship in 2003, married in 2005, and announced their separation in 2011, finalizing their divorce two years later.
In a 2023 interview, Kutcher candidly discussed the divorce, describing the experience as ‘humiliating and embarrassing’.

Speaking to Esquire, he stated: “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce.
“Divorce feels like a wholesale f**king failure. You failed at marriage.”
Nevertheless, he emphasized he bore no resentment towards Moore, adding: “You own the s**t you did wrong, and you go forward.”
In 2020, Kutcher also noted that the two have maintained a relationship without any animosity.
