His name may sound hilarious (it literally translates to “sneezy” in English), but just one glance at Atchoum and you’ll know he is not one to mess with. He’s a kitty with a death stare that will make you crawl back under your sheets and cry for help.
“Your soul is mine.”
Atchoum’s unique look is an effect of a hormonal condition called hypertrichosis, which causes excessive hair growth. This explains his disheveled, werewolf-like facial fur.
“Meet this cute — I mean, *cough* menacing soldier. He is my minion.”
Just 9 months old and living in Quebec, Canada, Atchoum has already gained an ever-growing following on Instagram and Facebook. His owner, Nathalie, generously posts photos and videos on these sites, saying that Atchoum is a ‘loving’ pet. But we know better.
Nathalie insists that Anchoum enjoys engaging in typical cat-things, which we believe is code for, “conducting research for Operation World Domination.”
He apparently likes watching television (where else can you best observe the human condition than HBO?), playing Cat Playground on the iPad (practicing his motor skills for development of agility in battle), as well as rummaging the fridge for food (he needs to keep nourished for optimum brain function).
