Angel Reese celebrated her team’s WNBA Finals berth by treating her Atlanta Dream teammates to a late-night feast in New York City.
The forward, 24, rented out the private room at Sei Less restaurant after the Dream completed their semifinal sweep of the New York Liberty at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday night, according to a source familiar with the gathering. Players arrived following the victory and stayed until approximately 3:30 a.m. ET as the owners kept the establishment open past normal hours.

The menu featured king crab legs, lobster spoons, oxtail spring rolls, chicken satay, short rib and shrimp dumplings among other dishes. Music filled the rented space as the players sang and danced together.

“Angel was just exhilarated to be sharing the moment with her teammates,” the source said.
“She and her teammates were just living in the moment and grasping the reality of being in the Finals and in position to win a title,” they added.
The Dream players expressed their gratitude to the staff by leaving what was described as a generous tip for the extended service.

Reese’s first season with Atlanta has already produced multiple milestones. She became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career rebounds and set the league’s single-game rebounding record with 26 boards in a single contest. She also became the first player in Dream franchise history to receive the KIA WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

The Baltimore native joined the Dream in April through a trade with the Chicago Sky that sent 2027 and 2028 first-round draft picks to Chicago. She had spent her rookie season with the Sky after being selected seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Reese’s off-court profile has grown alongside her basketball achievements. She has worked as a Victoria’s Secret runway model, expanding her presence beyond the sport.

The semifinal victory marked the Dream’s return to the WNBA Finals stage. The team will face the expansion Golden State Valkyries in a best-of-seven series for the championship.

Game 1 of the WNBA Finals is scheduled for Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Chase Center in San Francisco.
