Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse have welcomed their first child.
The Victoria’s Secret model, 32, announced on Instagram Monday that she gave birth to a baby girl on Sept. 7. “We took Labor Day literally this year,” Palvin wrote, sharing a family photo in matching Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys alongside Sprouse, 34, and their newborn daughter.
The couple had been open about their pregnancy journey since revealing the news in May, when Palvin debuted her baby bump on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. She continued posting updates throughout her pregnancy, sharing car selfies and Fourth of July celebration photos with her followers on Instagram.
Two months after the Cannes reveal, the pair disclosed they were expecting a girl during the debut episode of Sprouse’s “Wildmen” podcast with friend Brendan Columbus. “We are having a baby girl, which I’m very excited about,” Sprouse gushed in July. “I’m excited to be a girl dad, actually … I just unironically love a tea party.”
Palvin had predicted that fatherhood would soften the former Disney Channel star. She anticipated he would be only “stressed out” about parenting, suggesting a daughter would “mellow” out the “Suite Life of Zack and Cody” alum.
The Hungarian-born model also revealed that the couple had been calling their unborn child “principessa,” Italian for princess, while they remained undecided on an official name. “We are back and forth” on names, Palvin noted during her pregnancy.
Before announcing her pregnancy, Palvin went public with her endometriosis diagnosis and discussed how it shaped her approach to health. “It made me more aware and more patient with myself,” she told L’Beauté magazine in a May cover story. “I’ve learned that you can’t ignore what your body is telling you; if something feels wrong, don’t ignore it.”
Palvin added in that same interview that the experience “changed the way I take care of myself and made me prioritize my health much more seriously.” She also credited Sprouse with bringing stability to her life through his demeanor. “We understand each other’s worlds, but we also keep things super normal at home, which I think is important,” she explained. “The best part is having someone who’s truly supportive, but also keeps you grounded. We balance each other out.”
The couple’s relationship began in 2018 after meeting at a party the previous year. Sprouse proposed in September 2022, though they waited until summer 2023 to share the engagement news publicly. They married in July 2023 in Palvin’s native Hungary.
The birth announcement marks a new chapter for the pair, who have built their relationship while maintaining separate high-profile careers. Sprouse transitioned from child stardom into acting and entrepreneurship, including his podcast venture, while Palvin has continued her modeling work with Victoria’s Secret and other brands.
The couple has not yet shared their daughter’s name or additional details about the birth beyond the Sept. 7 date and the family photo in Dodgers gear.
