Barron Trump’s newly launched energy drink brand has begun appearing on shelves across the US, but its pricing has surprised some shoppers.
Celebrity-backed beverages have become increasingly common in recent years, with well-known names often attaching themselves to spirits, wellness drinks and energy products.
Examples include Kendall Jenner’s 818 tequila, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley’s Brother’s Bond Bourbon, and Prime, the energy drink brand associated with Jake Paul and KSI.
While customers may expect a premium when a famous name is linked to a product, some consumers have questioned whether Barron’s SOLLOS drink is worth its current cost, especially as the brand only introduced its first product last month.
The main issue for critics is that a single 12-pack is listed at almost $40.

SOLLOS, operated by Barron alongside four business partners, has debuted with a pineapple and coconut-flavored Yerba Mate drink. The product is available in Florida stores and can also be bought online for $39 per 12-pack.
Not everyone has welcomed the pricing, with some shoppers arguing that the drink does not merit the cost.
On SheFinds, one user wrote of the price mark:
“12 pack for $39? Insane.”
At more than $3 per can, the drink may be a tougher sell for some buyers. However, the launch has also attracted positive feedback, particularly from Floridians who appear to appreciate the brand’s connection to the state.
According to the company’s website, the flavors were developed with Florida living in mind and are intended to fit the Sunshine State’s lifestyle.
“Despite Florida’s outdoor, sun-driven lifestyle, there was no clean, functional, and great-tasting beverage that truly fit how people in Florida actually live. Existing options either lacked quality ingredients or failed to deliver a refreshing taste that matched the environment and lifestyle,” it reads.

The company has also positioned the beverage as ‘something refreshing after a surf session, energizing enough to carry you through a tennis set, and crafted with organic ingredients’.
Even with that pitch, the price may remain a sticking point for some potential customers.
SOLLOS is not only selling drinks, either. The brand also has a merchandise range that includes a $95 hoodie, an $80 insulated beach bag, a $30 baseball cap, shorts and other items.
So, for those not ready to buy the beverage, there is also the option of purchasing branded apparel instead.
SOLLOS has been contacted for comment.
