Benny Blanco has spoken out about his hygiene after viewers criticised him following a recent podcast clip.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Blanco and Dave Burd — better known as Lil Dicky — chatted with Jimmy Kimmel about their new podcast, Friends Keep Secrets.
A moment from an episode of the podcast later made the rounds online, showing Blanco lounging on a sofa with his legs crossed.
Some viewers fixated on the underside of his feet, which appeared noticeably dirty in the clip.
One person wrote on X: “Having to see the bottom of Benny Blanco’s nasty ahh feet just ruined my day.”
While another said: “If i see benny blanco’s dirty feet ONE MORE TIME IM GONNA LOSE IT!!”
And a third added: “Ok but I’m genuinely asking in all sincerity how benny blanco’s feet got that dirty.”
On Kimmel’s show, the producer was asked directly about the viral snapshot.
“There is something that turned up while people were watching your multimedia experience,” Kimmel began.
“And people seem to be fascinated by the Benny’s feet are very dirty.”
Blanco pushed back and blamed the environment rather than his own habits, telling Kimmel: “First of all, it’s the facilities’ fault! It’s not mine! I have great feet! Hold on!”
He then removed his shoes and socks and held his feet up for the camera to show the situation had changed.
“Someone zoom in on my fault! Look at that! Are you kidding me?” Blanco said.
Burd also weighed in, suggesting the first day of filming may have played a part.
Burd added an explanation, revealing: “It was the first day we filmed anything. The crew was coming in and out. It was probably a little bit dirty.”
Kimmel then joked: “You should set up an OnlyFans for that thing. It’s beautiful.”
Even with the online backlash, others argued the clip didn’t prove anything about Blanco’s cleanliness.
One person wrote: “This is a man who actually goes to get pedicures done along with detailed nail art, you cannot tell me that he is unhygienic.”
While another added: “Benny Blanco turning his dirty feet scandal into stand-up comedy gold? The way he just owns it – king of not giving a f**k!”
And a third said: “I strongly believe him because look closely at his toes, he has a very clean pedicure.”
The Friends Keep Secrets podcast aired its first episode on February 24.
