Benson Boone mercilessly teased as fans notice suggestive detail in stage design

Benson Boone’s American Heart World Tour has been gaining attention online for unexpected reasons, with some humorously suggesting it will create a close ‘personal connection’ with attendees.

The 23-year-old artist began his debut all-arena tour at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday, August 22, and continued to Chicago’s United Center the following day.

His performances, featuring signature backflips and live versions of pop hits such as ‘Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else’ and ‘Mystical Magical,’ have attracted thousands of fans. However, it’s the provocative stage design that has sparked conversations on social media, rather than his dynamic presence and high energy.

Benson Boone’s stage, reminiscent of performances by Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, and Billie Eilish, showcases a red and silver theme with a lengthy catwalk, as documented in an image shared on X by Buzzing Pop.

The catwalk leads to an area marked with the initials ‘BB,’ prominently positioned within the arena’s standing section, and continues through a circular elevation on the opposite end.

Similar to Boone’s 2025 Coachella performance, crafted by Stufish Entertainment Architects, the American Heart World Tour stage is designed to mirror and enhance Boone’s energetic and athletic live performances.

At first glance, the space at the catwalk’s end appears heart-shaped, but some observers have humorously pointed out its resemblance to something more suggestive.

One user on X commented, “This was intentional to get people talking I’m sure of it.”

Another asked, “Um. Why’s it that shaped.”

Someone humorously noted, “It’s giving ballsack.”

A fourth user quipped, “Love how intimate the setup looks it feels like every show will have that personal connection.”

Another person added, “I don’t even stan but I might have to because this stage is too funny lmao.”

What are your thoughts—was the design a mere oversight or a deliberate choice by Boone?

This isn’t the first time the former American Idol contestant has found himself in the spotlight for similar themes.

In February, he issued an apology after being seen adjusting his sparkly blue jumpsuit during the Grammys.

On Instagram, he explained, “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight; that thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”

The American Heart World Tour will continue with performances in places like Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, and Canada next week. Upcoming shows are also scheduled for Boston, Philadelphia, and a main event at New York’s Madison Square Garden on September 5.

After completing the North American and Canadian segments in mid-October, Boone is set to perform in the UK and Ireland, and later in locations such as Amsterdam, Norway, and Sweden.
