For most people, Valentine’s Day is just another excuse to make their girlfriends feel like a princess. But Bryan Flynn took that thought and went to town with it, melting thousands of hearts all over the world in the process.
The modern-day Prince Charming wanted an epic Valentine’s Day surprise for his girlfriend and fellow Disney-lover, Manini Gupta, so he teamed up with his über talented artist friend, Dylan Bonner.
His idea? To draw his girlfriend as a Disney princess.
“At first I was in disbelief — like, ‘Is that my face in a Disney drawing?’ — but then I was just amazed by the artistry and what a thoughtful and deeply personal gift Brian and Dylan created,” Manini said.
When asked why he came up with the idea, Flynn said, “I want our relationship to be as epic and timeless as the animations we grew up on. It’s been a secret for 3 months, and I can’t wait to show her!“
“I can’t believe Brian kept this secret for three months. When it comes to surprises, he’s normally the worst secret keeper,” Manini said.
“Manini loves The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, so those were a given,” he said. “Everyone thinks she looks like Jasmine, so Aladdin was kind of a given as well.”
“I chose Mulan because Mani totally embodies her determined energy. And, finally, I chose Tangled because I share a name with Flynn, and I’m a master of his token look, ‘smolder.’”
In terms of adorableness, no one can argue that these two are definitely treading on Disney territory.
