Billie Eilish Speaks Out on Her Love Life Following Sexuality Revelation

Billie Eilish has shifted her perspective on how much she shares about her personal relationships.

Previously, Eilish jokingly accused Variety of ‘outing’ her after she mentioned in an interview her attraction to women, marking the first time she openly discussed her sexual orientation.

One of her more public relationships was with Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood, who is 11 years older than Eilish.

While they were still together, Eilish proudly stated she had “locked that motherf**ker down,” referring to the ‘Sweater Weather’ singer.

It is believed that the couple went their separate ways in May 2023.

In a Rolling Stone interview from April, following their breakup, Eilish candidly discussed self-exploration and mentioned doing it in front of a mirror.

The ‘Birds of a Feather’ singer explained, “Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had.”

She added, “I got to say, looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking ‘I look really good right now’ is so helpful.”

Despite these frank admissions, Eilish has decided to retreat from discussing her romantic life and sexuality publicly.

“I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever,” she expressed in a recent Vogue interview.

“And I hope that they never will again. And I’m never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I’m never talking about who I’m dating ever again.”

Reflecting on how her comments have been widely publicized, Eilish remarked, “I guess I also underestimate that things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world.”

The interview coincides with Eilish’s ongoing Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, which began last month.

The tour is set to hit Europe next year, although some fans have expressed dissatisfaction over ticket costs.

Tickets for her London shows are priced at over £300 ($392), while some remaining seats for the Manchester gig are approaching £400 ($523).
