Billie Eilish’s Net Worth Exposed After Criticizing Billionaires in Bold Speech

Billie Eilish recently gained attention for her outspoken critique of the ultra-wealthy. This raises questions about her own financial status.

Earlier this week, Eilish received an accolade at the Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Innovator Awards.

Addressing an audience that included some of the world’s wealthiest individuals, such as Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, she urged billionaires to redistribute their wealth, referring to them as ‘shorties.’

During her acceptance speech, Eilish remarked, “We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark, and people need empathy and help more than kind of ever, especially in our country.”

She pointed out that the wealthy audience members could better allocate their resources.

“If you have money, it would be great to use it for good things and maybe give it to some people that need it,” she continued. “I love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me and if you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? Give your money away, shorties.”

As per the 39th annual Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, 2025 saw an unprecedented 3,028 billionaires with a combined net worth of $16.1 trillion.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, topped the list with a net worth of $342 billion.

Following Musk was Zuckerberg with $216 billion, and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos with $215 billion. Larry Ellison from Oracle is now listed as No. 2 on Forbes’ ‘real-time’ billionaires tracker.

So, where does Eilish stand?

In 2020, Eilish’s net worth was reported at $53 million by Forbes. At just 18, she was the youngest member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2019.

Though her net worth surpasses that of most individuals, Eilish seems committed to impactful philanthropy.

During the WSJ Innovator Awards, she announced her decision to donate $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft world tour to organizations addressing food inequity and climate change.

Previously, she faced criticism for the high prices of her concert tickets, with some reaching up to $521. However, proceeds from certain ‘Changemaker’ tickets were allocated to charitable causes.
