Biohacker aspiring for immortality claims to detox 85% of harmful plastics through a simple daily routine

Bryan Johnson, a millionaire tech entrepreneur, has recently shared insights into his latest achievement—significantly reducing the microplastics in his body.

Known as the ‘biohacker,’ Johnson has gained attention for his ambition to reverse his biological age.

For the 48-year-old Johnson, sticking to a healthy diet and getting sufficient rest isn’t enough; he’s committed to more extreme measures to achieve his goals.

In a recent post on X, previously known as Twitter, Johnson candidly discussed an experiment he conducted to lower microplastic levels in his body and its success so far.

Microplastics are minuscule particles, smaller than a grain of sand, that have permeated nearly everything, eventually making their way into the human body.

Once inside, these particles can accumulate in vital organs, leading to inflammation, infertility, and other health problems.

Yet, Johnson claims he’s drastically reduced the microplastic levels in his body within a year.

He stated in a post: “I eliminated 85% of microplastics from my ejaculate.”

Johnson highlighted that in November 2024, the microplastic count was 165 particles per milliliter, which dropped to 20 particles per ml by July 2025.

Additionally, he reported a notable decrease in microplastics in his blood—from 70 particles per ml in October 2024 to 10 particles per ml by May 2025.

Although this might seem an unusual focus, research on microplastics is ongoing and has shown their alarming global impact and spread.

Johnson commented: “Important as a meta-analysis of 36 studies reveals that microplastics induce oxidative stress in the male reproductive system, leading to testicular inflammation, cell death, and reduced testosterone levels, sperm production, and motility.

“Two studies last year showed that microplastics were detected in every human testicular and semen samples tested.

So, what was his method?

Unlike many of his other health strategies, Johnson’s approach was relatively straightforward.

He reported that daily use of a sauna for 20 minutes helped him sweat out the microplastics from his body.

In addition, he avoided using plastic microwavable containers and plastic cutting boards.

Johnson also utilized a reverse osmosis water system, a $600 device that employs a high-pressure pump to push water through a membrane with extremely tiny pores. This process allows water to pass through while capturing harmful contaminants.
