Bryan Johnson has left social media users baffled after sharing a very direct (and seemingly out-of-the-blue) update about his sex life.
Johnson is widely known for chronicling his attempts to turn back his biological age — to the point where he believes he could eventually become “immortal”.
Back in December, he claimed that even as time passes, his body’s biological age isn’t increasing at the same rate.
“I’m going to try and achieve immortality by 2039,” he penned on Twitter at the time. “One year of time passes and I remain the same biological age. I invite you to join me.”
Jonhson went on: “The search for the fountain of youth is the oldest story ever told. It’s been the dream of dreamers for millennia but always painfully out of reach.
“For the first time in the history of life on earth, in just the past 24 months, the window has opened for a conscious being to realistically strive for this goal. It is an absolutely insane moment.”
Although he set 2039 as a target, Johnson has also suggested the path to “immortality” isn’t fully mapped out yet.
He’s no stranger to long posts on X, but on this occasion he went in the opposite direction — publishing a short, blunt message made up of just seven words.
“Just had sex with Kate. Goodnight everyone,” he said.
Plenty of people didn’t exactly know what to do with the announcement — and many wanted one specific detail cleared up: who “Kate” is.
Somebody said: “Who’s kate? And why’s he announcing this on X?”
“Who tf is Kate here?” another person asked Grok, while a third wrote: “Who’s Kate btw @grok.”
A different person said: “For the last time who is Kate??”

Others were less focused on the identity question and more confused about why Johnson felt the need to share the update publicly at all. One person asked: “Why are we being told?”
Another added: “Lmao why would you post this.” Many more replies described the post as “weird” and unnecessary.
As for Kate, Johnson is believed to be referring to his girlfriend, Kate Tolo. He previously mentioned Tolo in December in a detailed post about reuniting with her after time apart.
The two are thought to have made their relationship public only a few months ago.
When Tolo first appeared on Johnson’s Instagram, he wrote: “I’ve wanted this my entire life and impatiently waited 25 years for it to arrive. It’s better than anything I imagined.”
