A man known as a ‘biohacker’ has detailed his unique morning routine that he believes will help him achieve immortality.
Morning routines can range from extremely health-focused activities to more laid-back approaches.
Some individuals begin their day at 5am with yoga, a nutritious breakfast, and a jog, while others may tumble out of bed just before work, hastily consume a paracetamol with cheap coffee, and smoke a cigarette before starting their day at the computer.
Most people probably find themselves somewhere in the middle of this spectrum, but Bryan Johnson, a ‘biohacker,’ has a morning routine that stands apart entirely.
The social media personality and tech entrepreneur has shared his daily morning rituals, which he believes will help him live indefinitely.
However, looking at his routine might make one question if eternal life is worth the effort.
Johnson’s morning begins not with a lazy start but at 4:30 am, with no snooze button allowed. Achieving eternity requires an early rise.
The first task is to weigh himself, measuring the ‘ratios of fat, muscle, bone, and water in his body.’ Next, he applies a custom hair serum, uses a scalp scrub, and wears a red light cap to monitor his hair health.
Following that, he engages in ‘light therapy,’ which ‘mimics natural sunlight to signal his body that it’s daytime.’ He then checks his inner ear’s temperature as a ‘daily health indicator.’
Johnson drinks a glass of water that’s been ‘purified and remineralised using an under-counter reverse osmosis system.’
He commented: “I drink it with additional morning supplements, including essential capsules, advanced antioxidants, and ashwagandha and rhodiola.”
Don’t even mention anything until I’ve had my morning dose of ashwagandha and rhodiola.
Next is breakfast, consisting of berries, protein, olive oil, and collagen.
Instead of reaching for coffee, Johnson checks the air quality in his home.
He said: “I have systems that track carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity, and even airborne particles and chemicals, making sure the air I breathe is as clean as possible.”
He then performs a morning blood test to check for any signs of ageing.
At 5:35 am, Johnson begins his workout, his ‘favourite part of the morning,’ followed by a sauna session with ice packs, more infra-red light therapy, ‘shockwave therapy’ for joint monitoring, and a ‘super veggie’ meal.
Johnson explains that things get ‘a little strange’ with 90 minutes of ‘hyperbaric oxygen therapy.’
He stated: “This therapy saturates my body with 100% oxygen under high pressure. This accelerates healing, rebuilds the microbiome, is good for brain health, and increases my vascularisation across my entire body.”
Finally, at 11:30 am, he has his ‘final meal’ of veggies, legumes, nuts, seeds, berries, and more extra virgin olive oil, ready to start his day.
Now, someone please bring me a flat white and a pain au chocolat.
