Following the announcement of her upcoming documentary, Melania Trump is believed to have ‘grown frustrated’ with remaining ‘silent’ while President Donald Trump takes center stage.
Amazon’s documentary, titled Melania, chronicles the First Lady’s experiences in the days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration in January 2025.
The audience will get to see Melania ‘as she orchestrates inauguration plans, addresses the complexities of the White House transition, and relocates her family back to the Nation’s Capital’, as described in the film’s synopsis.
The documentary, from which the First Lady reportedly earned $40 million, is scheduled to premiere in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.
The recently released trailer for Melania initiated a widespread discussion. A body language expert has now analyzed the First Lady’s demeanor in the preview for her documentary.
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Darren Stanton commented: “This new trailer portrays Melania Trump as a highly confident and powerful woman in her own right. She has been in the background for quite a while. Although often seen alongside Donald Trump during press events, it’s apparent she has become frustrated with being perceived as a semi-silent figure standing by him while he garners all the attention and limelight.”
Stanton further explained how Melania is depicted as a ‘powerful woman’ in the trailer, who expresses her ‘own voice and has things to say’.
The body language expert added: “Her body language in the trailer consistently exhibits confidence, with an upright posture, controlled and elegant movements, a sophisticated wardrobe, open-palm gestures, and consistent eye contact with others.”
“Her voice is very confident as well, maintaining a calm and consistent tone, without any pitch rises or cracks that might indicate insecurity.”

While Melania is frequently seen in the public sphere alongside the president, Stanton points out that her life ‘does not revolve around him or his agenda’.
The expert added: “There is also a moment when she’s on the phone with him, and her facial expression shows annoyance. It’s clear that there are times in their marriage when he irritates her, and she doesn’t conceal it.”
Stanton concluded that the documentary serves as a form of ‘brand-building’ for Melania as she prepares for life after the White House and Trump’s presidency.
“This film appears to be a significant moment for Melania Trump,” the body language expert noted. “It’s a proclamation of ‘this is who I am, accept it’. With Donald Trump eventually leaving office, the timing suggests to me a strategic move to establish her identity beyond his political career.”
