Ahmed Al Ahmed, 44, who was hailed as a hero following the Bondi Beach terror attack, has been charged with assault six months after the shooting.
The allegation relates to an incident at a property in Bankstown, in Sydney’s south-west, where Ahmed is accused of assaulting his father.
NSW Police confirmed the charge in a statement.
\”On Wednesday 3 June 2026 a 44-year-old man was served with a Court Attendance Notice for common assault (DV) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).\”
He is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on July 29.
