Bride Exposes Fiancé’s Affair by Reading His Texts Instead of Vows at Wedding

Your wedding day is meant to be one of the happiest days of your life, so most don’t expect to get the ultimate dose of revenge on their partner during the ceremony.

While the wedding day didn’t turn out exactly as she had envisioned, it will undoubtedly remain unforgettable.

The unfortunate bride shared that she and her long-term boyfriend had been in a relationship for several years.

One can only imagine the excitement she felt in the days leading up to marrying whom she believed to be her soulmate.

However, just hours before the ceremony, things took a drastic turn for the worse.

Casey, who used a pseudonym for herself and her fiancé Alex, was with her bridesmaids when she received a text that would shatter anyone’s heart.

The night before, she got a message from an unknown number containing screenshotted messages of her fiancé conversing with another woman.

Alongside the screenshots, the unidentified sender wrote: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”

The messages were damning for Alex, revealing that he had been having an affair in the months leading up to their wedding.

“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game,” read one explicit message.

“Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do,” read another.

A third text stated: “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”

“I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey recounted in an essay for Body+Soul. “My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off.”

She continued: “But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him.

“Eventually, we tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink and when dawn finally broke I awoke the girls and told them my decision – I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.”

To ‘out’ her then-husband-to-be, Casey decided to read the text messages to all their wedding guests instead of her vows.

“It seems Alex is not who I thought he was,” said the heartbroken bride. “I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here.

“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”

The groom’s face turned pale as his private messages were read aloud, and he eventually ‘stalked out of the church with his best man trailing behind him’.

Casey concluded the essay: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one hell of a party.”

I’m sure many, many tequila shots were consumed that night.
