Bridgerton actress makes surprising revelation about her intimate life after new series launch

Claudia Jessie opened up about her personal life, revealing insights about her sex life in contrast to her character’s romantic journey.

The global success of Bridgerton has gripped audiences, eagerly anticipating the upcoming fourth season and its unfolding stories.

While fans await the next chapter of Eloise Bridgerton’s journey, Claudia Jessie, the actress behind the character, shared honest reflections about her own life, diverging from her character’s circumstances on the Netflix hit.

The actress from Bridgerton surprised many by contrasting her own life with that of her on-screen siblings Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and Colin (Luke Newton), who have found marital bliss on the show. Her personal experiences differ significantly from Eloise’s lack of romance.

In an interview with AP alongside Dodd and Newton, Jessie amusingly highlighted the contrast, noting a striking difference between her real-life experiences and those of her character’s siblings.

“It’s funny though,” she remarked, “’cause in real life I’m having more sex than both of them,” humorously referencing her co-stars’ roles.

Currently dating casting director Cole Edwards since their relationship became public in 2024, Jessie enthusiastically shared: “Get that.”

Reflecting on why she hasn’t filmed any intimate scenes, she noted, “I’ve managed to get to 36 years old without ever doing a sex scene.”

Speculating about the possibility of future scenes, she wondered if her casting type has played a role, acknowledging that as her character evolves into the leading lady, such scenes might be inevitable.

In Julia Quinn’s novels, Eloise eventually enters a marriage of convenience with Philip Crane. Though some fans struggle with this plot due to Eloise’s portrayal as independent in the show, it opens the possibility for a romantic evolution, depending on the direction the series takes.

Jessie acknowledged the potential for filming such scenes, saying, “It does feel a little bit like I have agreed to jump out of a plane in a bit with close-ups in the nude and in front of my mum.”

Additionally, Jessie pointed out another distinction between her life and her character’s.

At the Bridgerton season 4 premiere in Paris, she told People that the period style isn’t something she embraces off-screen.

“I feel like in our real life, have we started wearing corsets or been inspired by it in our real life? I’ve got to be honest. I want to get straight into a tracksuit as soon as I’m done [filming],” she shared.
