Brielle Biermann, 29, addressed the backlash on her Instagram Stories August 10, claiming she made the Vera Wang dress video on Friday and scheduled it to post Sunday for engagement purposes, and insisting she’d never met Brigette Pheloung or known she was getting married that weekend.
The drama erupted after Brielle posted a clip of herself in the gown on Sunday, just hours after Brigette, 29, was seen in the dress in a leaked photo from her own wedding on Saturday.
Brigette married Mitch McHale in Newport, Rhode Island, on August 8 following nine years together.
Brielle captioned her Instagram video “the dress I almost said yes to,” with a note that said “Still love her.”
A commenter wrote, “No forsureeeeee it’s just a coincidence to dedicate an entire post to the dress u DIDNT choose the same day someone else gets leaked in the same dress forsureeeee a coincidence.”
Fans accused Brielle of intentionally trying to overshadow Brigette’s special moment. Another commenter blamed her for “giving mean girl energy.”
When challenged in the comments, Brielle responded, “Do you think i ran to Vera wang today to try this dress on and post it Imao.”
Brielle wrote on Instagram Stories, “Addressing this once & for all.”
She explained, “As you’ll see, I made this video on Friday. We had it scheduled to be posted on Sunday for engagement purposes.”
Brielle stated, “I’ve never met @acquired.style & did not know she was getting married this weekend, let alone see a leaked photo of her!”
She added, “She clearly has great taste that she went with Vera Wang for her dress!”
Brielle explained, “My wedding is approaching, so my content strategist wanted me to start posting bridal content leading up to my date.”
She noted, “I have another video of an additional dress I almost said yes to that is prescheduled to post tomorrow.”
To Brigette, Brielle wrote, “I genuinely hope you had a fabulous wedding day & enjoyed your dress!”
Brigette has not commented on the dress drama but shared a video of herself in her gown and called it the dress of her dreams.
Brielle’s mother, Kim Zolciak, 48, reposted the video of the wedding dress to her Instagram Story and admitted that she also loved the gown, noting, “This is 1 of my top 2 dresses.”
Brielle’s younger sister, Ariana Biermann, took to the comments of the post and admitted she was in love with the pick, writing, “So gorgeous I’m still in tears.”

The pair had an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water with picturesque views, flanked by white floral arrangements composed of a blend of roses, hydrangeas, and more, and Brigette’s bouquet was also made of white roses.
Brigette captioned a transition video from the moment she got ready to head down the aisle, “The dress of my dreams.”
Brielle later shared a joint Instagram post with Kim on a double date with Billy Seidl, 26, and Kim’s boyfriend, Kyle Mowitz.
