Britney Spears fiercely responds to ex and kids following allegations of standing in sons’ rooms at night ‘holding a knife’

Britney Spears has strongly responded to her ex-husband and children following troubling claims made in Kevin Federline’s upcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew.” Federline, who shares two sons with Spears, alleges in the book that Britney used to stand in their sons’ rooms at night with a knife in her hand, particularly highlighting one instance where she supposedly called him the day before their wedding.

Federline describes scenes of their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, waking up to find their mother silently watching them with a knife. “They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep – ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ – with a knife in her hand,” he claims. He further expresses concern about his sons’ well-being, warning of potential danger if circumstances do not change.

In response, Britney Spears took to Instagram to address the allegations, criticizing both Federline and the strained relationship with her sons. “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” she remarked, adding that she has long yearned for a closer relationship with her boys.

She spoke candidly about the challenges of parenting teenage sons and the impact of her own father’s behavior on her relationship with them. Spears disclosed limited contact with her sons over the years and expressed her decision to set boundaries, emphasizing her pride and the falsehoods she believes are in Federline’s account. She insisted she is an intelligent woman trying to maintain a private life and criticized the portrayal of her mental health in the media.

Her representatives also addressed the issue, accusing Federline and others of profiting from her name, particularly following the end of child support payments. They stressed her focus remains on her children’s well-being amidst the media frenzy and referenced her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” where she discusses her personal journey.

Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, obtained full custody of their children in 2006. His memoir is slated for release on October 21.
