Britney Spears is once again responding to her ex-husband’s ongoing allegations about her, their past relationship, and her parenting.
The pop icon is currently embroiled in a public dispute with Kevin Federline, who is the father of her two sons, Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, 19.
In Federline’s memoir, he makes several striking accusations, including one particularly grave claim that Spears has vehemently denied. He asserts that she would occasionally enter their sons’ room with a knife and stand watching them as they slept.
In his book, he alleges: “They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep – ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ – with a knife in her hand.
“Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”
Britney has quickly responded to these accusations, arguing that Federline has contributed to her strained relationship with her children.
Federline has continued to give interviews to promote his book, including a conversation on CBS Mornings on October 16, which sparked another detailed and impassioned response from Spears.
On Twitter, Spears expressed her concern over how persuasive her ex appears to be, suggesting that Federline’s motives are not rooted in care for her well-being but rather in a desire to publicly shame her.
She hinted that Federline’s allegations might be financially motivated, highlighting that she no longer provides child support for their now-grown children.
Her statement included: “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain…
“The way he is literally attacking me in his interviews. If truth be told, the man in the interview went STRAIGHT TO the SOURCE and said it CLEAR AS DAY … no money from Britney for 5 years you trying to get paid that’s what general America is saying weird you both have moved on… your kids are adults it’s a different world now … why is HE SO ANGRY … and what’s scary is he’s convincing.
“It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries are you f****** serious … I know his book will sell loads more than mine. If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them. What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine… the boy hates me and it is deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.”
Spears concluded by stating that she plans to prioritize her own healing, mentioning her interest in gardening as a way to find solace and enjoy life’s simpler pleasures.
