Britney Spears takes sons Sean and Jayden on a family theme park outing

Britney Spears reunited with her sons for a rare public family trip to Dollywood.

The “Toxic” singer, 44, shared a photo on Instagram Tuesday showing her arm-in-arm with Sean, 21, and Jayden, 19, outside Dolly Parton’s Nashville theme park. Spears wore a denim mini skirt, striped top, sandals, sunglasses and a face mask for the outing, while both sons kept it simple in white T-shirts, pants and matching white sneakers.

“Wow wow!!!” Spears wrote in the caption, admitting she “didn’t know this place existed” and calling the experience “so incredibly cool and exciting.” She noted the “extremely hot” weather and joked that her skirt was “too big” before declaring, “family outings!!!”

“DOLLYWOOD IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!” she concluded, adding three rose emojis.

Bluegrass performer Rhonda Vincent, who is currently playing shows at the park, confirmed the visit in a statement. “Wow… what a time we’re having at Dollywood!!” she said. “Today, Britney Spears made her very first visit to Dollywood — and she loved it! She even posted about it!”

Vincent added with a laugh that her band might “have to work up a bluegrass version of ‘…Baby One More Time'” for their final performance there.

The outing marks a continued thaw in relations between Spears and her sons, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 47. The former backup dancer had collected substantial monthly child support until both boys turned 18, with those payments ending for good in 2024.

Federline addressed the family dynamic during a November 2025 appearance on “Talk Shop Live,” saying the sons had been “trying to find a way to mend a bond between their mom.”

“They absolutely love their mom, right? I mean, they always, always have, always will,” he added. “It’s instilled in them. And I’ve always wanted for them to have a connection with their mom, the way I have with my mom.”

The Nashville trip came just over a month after Parton’s death at age 80 on August 25. Back in 2021, during Spears’ highly publicized conservatorship battle, Parton had voiced support for the pop star in an interview with Andy Cohen.

“I only wish her the best,” the “Jolene” singer said at the time, calling Spears “a wonderful artist” and a “wonderful girl.”

Spears’ conservatorship ultimately ended in November 2021 after 13 years.

The Dollywood visit follows a turbulent stretch for the singer. She was arrested for DUI on March 4, after which her sons reportedly rushed to be by her side in Los Angeles. An insider said in April that “things weren’t going great, and now with the boys reentering her life, fully, this was a great opportunity.”

“She’s been spiraling the last couple of years,” the source said, calling the reconnection “wonderful” and noting that Sean and Jayden “are her whole world” and “an absolute gift.”

The source added that the sons “want the best for her” and were present “because they’re her sons and want to be.”

In April, Sean dropped “Federline” from his Instagram display name and began going by “Sean P Spears,” a move that signaled closer identification with his mother. That same month, Spears entered a brief rehab stint that an insider said “was 100 percent Britney’s decision.”

She later pleaded guilty to a reduced “wet reckless” charge on May 4 and was sentenced to a three-month alcohol education program plus one year of informal probation.

The Dollywood photo offered a brighter snapshot of Spears’ summer, with the singer appearing relaxed alongside her grown sons at a park built by one of her famous defenders. Vincent’s band did not ultimately confirm whether the bluegrass “…Baby One More Time” cover materialized.

Spears is scheduled to complete her alcohol education course in the coming months.
