Brooke Oleksy, daughter of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, has firmly addressed what she describes as ‘lies’ following her father’s passing.
The WWE legend passed away from a heart attack on July 24 at the age of 71 at his residence in Florida.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, had a private funeral in Clearwater on Tuesday (August 5), attended by close family members, including his son Nick, 35, ex-wife Linda Hogan, and widow Sky Dailey.
However, much of the focus has turned to his 37-year-old daughter, Brooke, who was noticeably absent from the funeral proceedings.
Brooke, a television personality, has openly discussed feeling ‘disconnected’ from her father in the years leading up to his death, mentioning that she chose to ‘step away to protect [her] heart’.
Brooke has stated that although their relationship never reached a breaking point, she was removed from her father’s will, a decision she claims to have made to avoid potential family conflicts over Hogan’s substantial wealth.
Currently, she is challenging what she perceives as false reports about her and has indicated to TMZ Live her intention to take legal action.
“Whatever representative from that camp that continues to spew these lies, if they want to keep going, grab your best hold, grab your best lawyers because I’m ready to go,” Brooke told the outlet on Wednesday.
“Because I’m done with it. I’m done, this is ridiculous. I know too much. I’ve been through too much, I’m not to be played with. I’m done, so it better stop.”
She added: “My dad has finally been put to rest. Leave him alone, leave me alone and let the poor man go to heaven, and just end it. Stop coming after me. I’m not the one you want to come after.”
Her statements follow her explanation that she chose not to attend the funeral because her father “hated the morbidity” of such events, opting instead to honor him with a beach visit with her twins and husband.
“Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul,” Brooke shared on Instagram. “We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved.
“We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you.
“I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. Rest in heaven, Daddy.”
In another Instagram post, she expressed: “Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply.”
“Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence. I love you more than all the stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife.”
Regarding her exclusion from the will, Brooke reiterated her stance, saying: “I just know how my family is. And I’ve seen how certain members of my family go after money. And I see how they fight over money, and how they turn on each other over money.
“And I said, if and when my dad dies, this is going to be, pardon my French, a s**t show. And I want no part of it.”
She concluded: “I have my own job, my husband has a job, we do not have any money coming in from my father since I was 18 years old.
“Everybody else relied on him for a paycheck, and now that golden goose is gone.”
