Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, has spoken out about the rumors regarding her absence from her father’s will.
News of the WWE icon’s passing on July 24, at the age of 71, shocked fans. It was later disclosed that Hogan’s death was due to a heart attack, and he had undergone heart surgery in the weeks before his passing.
Hogan leaves behind two children: Brooke, 37, and Nick, 35. He had these children with his ex-wife Linda Hogan, to whom he was married from 1983 until 2009. His third spouse, Sky Daily, married the wrestling superstar in 2023.
As of last month, Hogan’s net worth was estimated to be $25 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. However, Brooke will not inherit any of this fortune.
This decision stems from Brooke’s own request to be removed from her father’s will prior to his death.
In explaining her decision, Brooke shared on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show that she wanted to avoid any potential family disputes over Hogan’s wealth, expressing her fear of such conflicts arising after his passing.
Brooke recounted the emotional moment she texted Hogan’s assistant to be taken off the will, saying she was “sobbing.”
“I just said, take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it,” she stated.
Her perspective on money shifted when she learned she was expecting twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, whom she welcomed earlier this year with her husband, Steve Oleksy.
Oleksy has openly backed Brooke’s decision to remove herself from her father’s will.
“I believe my wife upheld her Dad’s best interests even after his death, mustering up all the courage and kindness she could despite still being very hurt,” Oleksy shared with US Weekly.
He elaborated, “That money does not represent accomplishments in the ring — the majority of it came at the expense of my wife’s dignity. It was built on hurtful comments about her and her past relationship, which caused pain not only to her but to many other families.”
Brooke’s radio interview followed her need to explain her absence from Hogan’s WWE tributes, which her brother attended.
After Hogan’s passing, WWE honored him with tributes on Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw, including a ten-bell salute.
Addressing her absence, Brooke wrote on Instagram: “For those of you giving me crap for not attending my dad’s tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite.”
WWE was contacted for a comment at that time.
