Brooklyn Beckham allegedly issues ‘cease and desist’ to David and Victoria for lawyer-only contact

The relationship between the Beckham family and their son Brooklyn appears to be increasingly strained amid reports of a rift.

Speculation has been rife that Brooklyn, the oldest Beckham child, has grown distant from his parents, fueled by his noticeable absence from significant family gatherings in recent years.

In 2025, David Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday and received a knighthood, but Brooklyn, aged 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, were conspicuously missing from the celebrations.

The alleged discord between David, Victoria, and Brooklyn is said to have originated in 2022 when Peltz opted not to wear a dress by Victoria Beckham at her extravagant wedding to their son.

Reports have surfaced suggesting that Brooklyn has blocked his family, including his parents and siblings, on Instagram. While there were claims that Victoria and David initiated the blocking, Cruz, their 20-year-old son, refuted this.

It has now emerged that Brooklyn may have decided to block his parents following his mother’s alleged violation of a legal letter sent to them. The breach supposedly occurred when Victoria liked an Instagram video of Brooklyn cooking roast chicken.

The letter, reportedly sent last year, instructed his parents to communicate with him solely through his lawyer.

A source informed The Sun: “The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately, not publicly.

“He felt his parents continued to ignore his wishes and kept mentioning him online instead of reaching out privately.”

The source also suggested that Victoria and David have been trying to convey to their eldest son that he is always welcome.

It remains uncertain whether David’s recent social media activity constitutes a breach of the legal letter’s terms.

After criticism for not including Brooklyn in his 2025 recap, David Beckham, the former Manchester United player, posted a photo of Brooklyn on his Instagram Story.

The black and white image showed a young Brooklyn with David, accompanied by the caption ‘I love you all so much,’ referencing his family.
