The ongoing tensions within the Beckham family have taken another turn as Brooklyn Beckham appears to create further separation from his parents by altering a tattoo that was initially a tribute to his father, David.
Brooklyn, now 26, stirred controversy last month with a revealing Instagram Story, where he claimed he had ‘been silent for years.’ He suggested that the family conflict was being kept ‘private’ but accused his parents of ‘controlling narratives in the press about our family’ and attempting to ‘sabotage his relationship’ with his spouse, Nicole Peltz.
In his remarks, he also alleged that his mother, Victoria, behaved ‘inappropriately’ with him during his wedding celebration. Brooklyn emphasized that he had no intentions of reconciling with his family, asserting: “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
In a recent twist, it seems Brooklyn has modified a tattoo on his right arm that was originally dedicated to David.
The Sun published images of Brooklyn’s updated ink, with a source revealing that he underwent ‘laser treatment’ to alter the tattoo dedicated to his father.
Originally, the tattoo featured the word ‘Dad’ in capital letters, which has now been replaced with a starfish and two life preservers.
The source further mentioned that Brooklyn also had a tattoo dedicated to Victoria on his chest altered.
They told the publication: “To see Brooklyn covering up Victoria’s tattoo, and now the one he had for his dad, will sting. It seems very cruel and will add salt to the wounds.”
Nonetheless, the phrase ‘Love you Bust’ remains visible, which is similar to a tattoo his father also sports.
The online community is still reeling from Brooklyn’s candid announcement last month when he openly critiqued his parents.
In his statement, Brooklyn expressed: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He continued: “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
While David and Victoria have been spotted publicly since Brooklyn’s revelations, they have yet to make any public remarks regarding the family dispute.
