Brooklyn Beckham Fuels Family Feud With Brutal Second World Cup Ad

Brooklyn Beckham has reignited speculation about the Beckham family rift after DoorDash released a World Cup-themed advert that many viewers saw as a pointed reference to his personal life.

The campaign, released on Monday, June 15, 2026, follows Brooklyn as he jokes about watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home and offers up his match tickets to someone else instead. The ad quickly drew attention because of its thinly veiled references to his estrangement from David and Victoria Beckham.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.”

“It’s a long story,”

The preview finished with a message on screen that read: “It’s complicated. More soon,” prompting fresh speculation that the post was another pointed reference to his widely reported rift with members of his family.

The full advert has now been posted to Brooklyn’s TikTok and Instagram accounts, and viewers have once again been dissecting the messaging.

“It’s not like I don’t have tickets,”

“It’s because, it’s a long story,”

In the ad, Brooklyn is then shown putting the tickets into a DoorDash delivery bag, suggesting someone else should get the chance to attend instead.

“This can go to someone… else,”

The delivery driver is waved away with Brooklyn asking that the tickets end up somewhere “fun”.

Reaction to the campaign has been sharply divided. Some critics accused the ad of missing the mark, with several calling it “poor taste” and “tone deaf”.

“This is a giant PR miss.”

Others took a more forgiving view, arguing Brooklyn was simply poking fun at the situation and showing he could laugh at himself.

“So many haters here. I think it’s snarky and fun. Brooklyn has been through a lot and it’s great to see he has a sense of humor.”

In the caption accompanying the post, Brooklyn said one fan would be able to “hunt” for his tickets as part of the DoorDash promotion.

The campaign has attracted even more attention because of Brooklyn’s connection to football through his father, David Beckham, one of the sport’s most recognisable names and a co-owner of Inter Miami.

David Beckham received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 12, 2026, at 6819 Hollywood Boulevard, where he was honoured in the Sports Entertainment category.

Speculation about problems within the Beckham family has been building since April 2025, when reports emerged that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, had not attended David’s major 50th birthday celebrations.

After a wave of social media unfollowings, Brooklyn later issued a dramatic public statement about his family. In posts shared on Instagram Stories, he made a number of allegations, including claims that his parents had tried to damage his relationship with Nicola. David and Victoria have not publicly addressed those remarks.

Brooklyn and Nicola married on April 9, 2022, in a lavish ceremony at her family’s Palm Beach estate in Florida, with around 500 guests in attendance. They had become engaged two years earlier.

Not long after the wedding, reports began circulating about an alleged feud between Nicola and Victoria.

“full-on cold war”

According to Page Six, “the build-up to the wedding was horrendous” and they “can’t stand each other and don’t talk”.

There were also claims that some of the tension centred on Nicola choosing a Valentino gown instead of wearing a design from Victoria’s fashion label, although the family later appeared to downplay those rumours.

By March 2023, things seemed considerably calmer in public, with the Beckhams posing together at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show.

However, in 2025 the family tensions became harder to miss. Reports claimed Brooklyn and Nicola had skipped David’s 50th birthday party at Cipriani Downtown Miami, and later that year TMZ reported that Brooklyn and his brother Romeo were no longer speaking because of tension involving Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who allegedly had a “romantic connection” with Brooklyn “several years ago”.

Cruz later pushed back on that version of events, insisting Brooklyn and Kim had never dated. In May 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola were again absent as David’s birthday celebrations continued.

Then, in July 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola unfollowed Romeo and Cruz, while Romeo and Cruz also unfollowed them.

The next month, David and Victoria were reported to have missed the Peltz-Beckhams’ vow renewal ceremony.

By December, further reports suggested Brooklyn and his parents were no longer following each other online, though Cruz disputed claims that the family had chosen to unfollow him.

“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”

In January 2026, reports claimed Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal letter asking them to communicate with him only through his lawyer. Victoria was then said to have broken that rule when she “liked” an Instagram post Brooklyn shared about a roast chicken.

On January 19, Brooklyn posted another explosive statement to Instagram Stories, alleging that his parents had tried to “ruin” his relationship with Nicola, had always “controlled” his life, and that “Brand Beckham” was put ahead of everything else.

Despite the tension, David later marked Brooklyn’s birthday publicly.

“27 Today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you.”

He shared the message alongside an old photo of Brooklyn as a child and tagged Victoria, though he was reportedly unable to tag his son because Brooklyn had blocked him.

Brooklyn did not respond publicly to the post.

Elsewhere, Harper, Brooklyn’s younger sister and the youngest of the Beckham children, was photographed outside his front door delivering a letter by hand. Brooklyn and Nicola were believed to be in New York at the time.

A representative for Brooklyn and Nicola responded critically to the images.

“That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”
