Brooklyn Beckham has recently made headlines for publicly criticizing his parents, suggesting that any possibility of mending their relationship is now over. However, the 26-year-old has been living independently from his family for quite some time.
In a bold move, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham broke his silence about the ongoing family dispute on Monday (January 19). He expressed that he had been ‘silent for years’ and had made efforts to keep the feud ‘private’.
Through an Instagram post, Brooklyn revealed that he was ‘standing up for myself with my family’ due to disagreements concerning his wedding to Nicola Peltz. He alleged that these disagreements resulted in ‘endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly’.
Although Brooklyn has just recently voiced his grievances against his parents, he has been living a life separate from them for a significant period.

Amid the Covid-19 lockdown, Brooklyn discovered a passion for cooking and subsequently launched Cookin’ With Brooklyn, which gained significant popularity.
Following his cooking debut on Today, Brooklyn ventured into the business world by launching a sake brand called WESAKE. He even opened a pop-up restaurant on Uber Eats, featuring dishes like chicken tikka masala and pork dumplings.
In 2025, Brooklyn shifted his career focus when he showcased his enthusiasm for automobiles by participating in a Formula E documentary titled the Formula E Creators’ Challenge.
Together with his wife, Brooklyn established a charity dog shelter, aiming to ‘rescue and shelter homeless dogs in Los Angeles’.
Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot in April 2022 in a ceremony attended by the Beckhams. However, according to Brooklyn, the event was not without its drama.
In a revealing Instagram post, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria canceled the making of Nicola’s dress at the ‘eleventh hour’.

He mentioned, “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mom canceled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
According to a source from PEOPLE, Victoria initially expressed her desire to design Nicola’s wedding dress, with Nicola reportedly saying it would ‘be her honor’ and that she’d ‘love to wear one of her originals’.
Despite the wedding tensions, Brooklyn and Nicola settled into their Los Angeles home shortly after the ceremony. Brooklyn had prior experience living in California during his father’s tenure with LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2012.
Nicola, who also comes from a wealthy background due to her father being a billionaire investor, has previously talked about her strong relationship with her parents.
“My parents, their love inspires me every day. It sounds cheesy, but that’s how I feel,” she mentioned in an interview with Byrdie.
