Bruce Willis’ Daughter Shares Heart-Wrenching Update on His Dementia Battle

Tallulah Willis has provided an update on her father Bruce Willis’s health since the actor retired from public life following his medical diagnosis.

Bruce Willis initially stepped back from acting in 2022 after he and his family announced that he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that affects language.

In the following year, the family issued another statement revealing that his diagnosis had been refined to frontotemporal degeneration (FTD), a condition that impacts the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, as explained by the Alzheimer’s Society.

Since the diagnosis, Bruce Willis’s family, including his second wife Emma Heming Willis, has occasionally shared updates on his health status.

Recently, Willis’s daughter with ex-wife Demi Moore, Tallulah, provided a new update on her father.

Talking to E! News, she stated: “Our visits have so much love and I feel that and that overarches anything for me—being able to have that connection.”

“I know I know he knows how much I love him, I know how much he loves me. I know how much he loves all of us,” she added.

Tallulah acknowledged that dealing with his health issues was a “hard thing” but mentioned it has also “created an opportunity for more love within the family,” especially concerning sister Rumer’s daughter, Louetta.

Referring to the 16-month-old as the ‘center of gravity in our family,’ she said: “I think it’s universal to be in the delight of a child and to see the way their brain develops and grows.”

During the conversation, Tallulah also noted they were in a “unique position” to raise awareness about the condition due to their public profiles.

“We are in a very unique position where we have this platform. All of us do, all of us in our own ways have a voice and have eyes on us,” she continued.

“I think it’s been ingrained…how can we use something that’s painful or challenging or a struggle and create awareness about it or find the thing that could be supportive or healing for other people.”

Throughout the family’s journey with this disease, Tallulah has been transparent about how they have been coping, frequently sharing thoughts about her father on social media and receiving encouragement from fans.

After posting throwback photos of herself and her father at the end of last year, a fan commented: “Your Dad is the reason why I have my SAG card. I will be forever grateful to Bruce Willis.”

Another supporter added: “We are incredibly lucky for our fathers. You two and your whole family are beautiful.”
