‘Brutal and Intense’ Film Dubbed ‘Greatest Movie Yet’ Has Fans Watching Twice

A horror film has captivated audiences so much that they find themselves returning for a second viewing.

Over the years, numerous exceptional horror films have been released. Classics like The Shining, as well as Alien, Saw, and Get Out, remain highly regarded.

However, a lesser-known film from 2020 continues to capture the interest of audiences, partly due to its notable cast.

Stars such as Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, and Ike Barinholtz appear in the movie, along with Ethan Suplee, known for his role in My Name Is Earl.

The film in question? The Hunt.

According to its IMDb synopsis: “Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose.”

That purpose turns out to be being hunted like animals by another group for sport.

Recently, a query about The Hunt was posted in the Facebook group Netflix Bangers, asking if it was worth watching.

“Watch it ASAP,” one enthusiastic viewer advised.

“Definitely 10 out of 10 on this one,” another commented, while someone else called it a ‘brilliant film’.

Another fan added: “So good very entertaining! Pop some popcorn sit back and enjoy, a little gory but it’s violent.”

Another viewer was so impressed they have already rewatched it.

They shared: “Watched for the second time yesterday!! It’s entertaining and a great movie.”

One horror enthusiast even declared The Hunt the ‘best movie [they’ve] ever watched’.

Though The Hunt is not available on Netflix, it can be streamed on Freevee.

Another recent horror release in theaters is Amy Adams’ Nightbitch.

In this film, Adams portrays a stay-at-home mother who left her art career to focus on her child.

She becomes weary of her routine life, and her primal instincts begin to surface, manifesting as her transformation into a dog (but only at night).

Whether her transformation is real or imagined is left up to the audience’s interpretation, according to Nightbitch director Marielle Heller.

“I think it’s kind of nice if everybody gets to make their own conclusion,” Heller explained to UNILAD.

“I sort of love the ambiguity that I felt in the book when I read Rachel’s book. And so the aim of the movie was also to not fill in all of the answers for you, but I’ll leave a certain amount of that up to discussion.”

Nightbitch is currently showing in theaters.
