Bubba Wallace may be the darling of the liberal sports media. Still, he appears unpopular among NASCAR fans, as seen by the boos that greeted Wallace during driver introductions this weekend.
Fans at Martinsville booed Wallace after he received a one-race punishment for pushing Kyle Larson, NASCAR’s smallest driver.
Wallace earned much more boos than any other driver.
While NASCAR fans will always hate Wallace because of the uproar caused by his 2020 allegation that a garage pull was a noose, which the FBI investigated and disproved. In this case, the response to Wallace is most likely due to his bullying of the much smaller Kyle Larson earlier this month.
The incident began in Turn 3 of the NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400 in Las Vegas when Larson attempted to overtake but hit Bubba Wallace into the wall. Wallace then seemed to respond by hitting Larson’s car in the rear.
Things turned for the worse when Wallace confronted Larson at his car and pushed him about.
In any case, the two drivers claim to have eliminated it. What do a huge majority of NASCAR fans think about Wallace? He appears to have some work to do.
