Bunnie Xo has spoken out after Jelly Roll’s daughter appeared to tease the real story behind the end of the marriage.
The split between Jelly Roll and Bunnie has unfolded in the public eye ever since the singer filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18. The divorce was later finalized on July 17, 2026, with reports saying the former couple reached a private settlement that includes a one-time lump-sum payment rather than ongoing alimony.
Although early reports said the breakup was handled as a mutual decision and that both sides wanted it treated as a private family issue, attention around the divorce has continued to build.
That speculation recently intensified when Jelly Roll’s 18-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann DeFord, addressed the situation on TikTok and suggested people do not know the full story.
During an emotional, expletive-filled live stream, DeFord said: “Don’t y’all ever come for my father’s name like that again. I’m so done. Get the f*** out of my DMs, out of my comments, my life with that s***. I don’t care. I don’t want to talk about it.”
She also pushed back on cheating rumors, while warning that much more could eventually come out.
DeFord added: “Y’all have no f**king idea what happened, and wait ’till y’all find out. Just f**king wait.
“Because I promise y’all, the view of what y’all have of not only the situation, but their relationship and the internet in totality is about to f**king crumble the day that I open my mouth.”
She then said: “It’s not a difference in f**king opinions. Nobody else lived in it, so don’t f**king even. I’m for real so done.”
Bunnie has since downplayed the comments and said there is no drama to address.
After one fan wrote under a recent TikTok post, “Now Bailee posting some weird stuff. Hope Bunnie sees it and clears it up. Slay girl slay!!”, Bunnie replied: “Nothing to clear up. She didn’t say anything lol ppl just wanna run w/a narrative. Love my baby forever.”
Their history together stretches back years. Jelly Roll and Bunnie first crossed paths at one of his shows at the Las Vegas Country Saloon, long before he became a mainstream star. At the time, he was living out of a van and performing to a very small crowd. They met backstage, though Bunnie was seeing someone else then.
After that relationship ended, Bunnie got his number through a friend. She has said that Jelly Roll would call and text her for advice about his daughter Bailee, whom he shares with a previous partner.
Their connection later became romantic when Jelly Roll returned to Las Vegas to shoot a music video and Bunnie invited him to stay with her.
He eventually proposed onstage during a Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas, asking: “[I wanna know] will your fine a** marry my white trash a** tonight in Las Vegas?” The two then got married that same night at The Little White Chapel.
Jelly Roll later welcomed a son, Noah Buddy, with an ex. In 2016, he and Bunnie were also awarded primary custody of Bailee because of her mother’s substance abuse struggles.
The marriage also went through a major rough patch after Jelly Roll was unfaithful, leading to a temporary separation. He later described the affair as ‘one of the worst moments of his adulthood’.
Speaking on the Human School podcast, he said he ‘did a lot of work to repair that relationship’, and the pair ultimately got back together later that year.
As their personal lives evolved, both of their careers grew too. Bunnie launched the Dumb Blonde podcast, which became a major hit and featured guests including Dolly Parton and MGK.
Jelly Roll’s own success also surged, with ‘Son of a Sinner’ reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s US Country Airplay chart.
Bunnie later shut down her OnlyFans account and stepped away from the sex industry.
The couple eventually returned to The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas to renew their vows.
At another stage in their relationship, Bunnie revealed on Instagram that they had decided to pursue IVF, writing: “W/all odds stacked against us, it’s always been hard & we have only just begun.”
She also made headlines after joking that, following Jelly Roll’s 275-pound weight loss, his penis had become ‘severely bigger’.
The date listed as their separation in the divorce filing came after a major argument. Bunnie later said that, in the heat of the moment, she told him: “Well, then file the f**king divorce papers.”
After that, Jelly Roll packed a bag, and the two did not speak for several weeks.
He then filed for divorce, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
Attorney Holly Davis, who was not involved in representing either side, told People: “It’s a very neutral and agreement-oriented filing. It doesn’t look like a contested divorce filing.”
Bunnie later spoke candidly on Dumb Blonde about how the marriage ended.
She made clear there had been no cheating, and said she and Jelly Roll still intended to go ahead with having a baby through IVF and co-parenting together.
Bunnie also described the toll the IVF journey had taken on her, saying it ‘wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically’.
She explained: “It was not mutual. Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely.”
She also said Jelly Roll had already started seeing other people, while she was ‘excited to discover myself single’.
That same evening, Jelly Roll addressed online rumors during a performance in Saratoga Springs, New York, and told the crowd that the internet ‘is a liar’.
He said: “Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. I will love her. She will probably be the only woman I’ll ever love the way I loved her.”
More recently, Bunnie was seen kissing 24-year-old reality star Dylan Wolf at Jelly Roll’s bar in Tennessee, Goodnight Nashville, during Fourth of July celebrations. Footage of the moment was later published by TMZ.
On her podcast, Bunnie said Jelly Roll’s response to the kiss was that he totally ‘gets it’, and she added that the fact it happened at his venue was ‘no issue at all’.
She also told listeners: “I’m not dating anybody. I do not want to be with anybody. There’s an ice box where my heart used to be. That s**t is chained up,” she adds
