Calls for Hawk Tuah Girl’s Imprisonment After Failed Cryptocurrency Leads to Financial Losses

Hawk Tuah Girl is under fire after launching her own cryptocurrency.

Haliey Welch gained internet fame over the summer with her explicit comments about ‘what makes a guy go crazy in bed’, earning her the nickname ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’.

Since then, she has amassed almost three million followers on Instagram and started her own podcast.

Recently, Haliey expanded her ventures by introducing her own meme coin, HAWK.

The HAWK coin was released yesterday (December 4) and initially saw a market capitalization peak of $490 million.

However, it suffered a dramatic 91 percent drop within just three hours, according to CoinTelegraph, and was trading at a valuation of $41.7 million.

Those who invested in the viral star’s cryptocurrency have experienced financial losses, leading to widespread dissatisfaction.

One Twitter user claimed they invested $35,000 in the coin, only to see its value plummet to $2,000 within ten minutes.

“I am a huge fan of Hawk Tuah but you took my life savings,” they wrote to Haliey on social media. “I purchased your coin $Hawk that you were so excited about with my life savings and children’s college education fund as well.

“You didn’t mention that you were going to buy 97% of the supply and sell it almost immediately to make a large profit.”

Another person commented: “So… it turns out the Hawk Tauh crypto meme coin was not a good investment.”

Others have accused Haliey of ‘rug-pulling’ those who invested in the HAWK coin.

“If only there was a way that Hawk Tuah Girl could find a way to quickly make tens of millions of dollars on the internet to pay back everyone that got rug-pulled on her meme coin,” someone remarked.

A second user stated: “We live in a weird timeline. @HalieyWelchX aka “Hawk Tuah” girl using her popularity created a meme coin on Solana blockchain. Then rug pulled the investors. Is this legal?”

Some people have even suggested legal action should be taken against the viral star-turned-podcaster, with claims she ‘deserves to be in jail right now’.

Despite the accusations of misleading her fans, Haliey has denied any wrongdoing.

“Hawkanomics: Team hasn’t sold one token and not 1 KOL was given 1 free token,” she tweeted in a repeated statement.

“We tried to stop snipers as best we could through high fee’s in the start of launch on @MeteoraAG. Fee’s have now been dropped.”
