6 Classes From Schools Around The World That Kids Definitely Wouldn’t Skip

We all remember snoozing through boring lessons at school, but imagine if we’d had some of these awesome subjects on our curriculum — kids definitely pay attention to these.

#1. Scientific Discoveries, USA.

After a science theory course, some US kids get to actually go out and invent something from their imagination with a whole year to complete their invention.

They then present their idea to teachers and other students — it’s marked on its success and usefulness and contributes to a final grade.

#2. Surfing lessons, Australia.

There’s no better place to master the art of catching gnarly waves, and Australia is pretty keen to keep its reputation as the home of surf kings and queens — so it’s teaching the littlest Aussies how to board.

#3. Folk dancing, Armenia.

With over 1,500 indigenous dances, Armenia is proud of its culture and determined to pass it on to the kids of today. In 2013, they made lessons in folk dancing compulsory for all school children.

#4. Cyber security, Israel.

Israel is keeping its youth up-to-date with modern technology and teaching them from a young age how to behave online, manage a blog and even create video games.

#5. Beekeeping, Bashkiria.

Over 100 schools in Bashkiria have their own apiaries for aspiring beekeepers to learn how to tend hives and harvest honey, as well as mastering patience, attentiveness and accuracy.

#6. Admiration for Nature, Japan.

With some of the most stunning landscapes in the world in Japan, it’s only fair that Japanese students get to enjoy them. Aiming to teach kids to value and respect the outside world, the students even have to take end-of-year exams in this subject.

Looks like we’ll be moving continent to repeat 4th grade.
